Purpose of Use

CARTILAGO biomaterial consist of HA

HA provides Ca++ rich, chondrocytecompatible and permeable structure for tissue regeneration similar to the embryogenic enviroment Biomaterials made using CARTILAGO MATRIX mimics embryogenic environment with its high hyaluronic composition and stimulates transformation of mesenchymal cells into cartilage. Rather than wound healing, it triggers wound regeneration and provides a mold that is closest to the original hyalin cartilage tissue. Microfracturing is a preferred method for treatment of small chondral lesions. It stimulates bone marrow cells to form chondral structures. However, main problem with the technique is to ensure that the cells remain in the desired area after activation. CARTILAGO MATRIX provides an adhesive area for targeted cells

Surgical Technique

Rehydrating solution should be poured into a sterile medium and waited for two minutes for Cartilago to re-gain its elastic properties.
For this purpose, alternatively, Cartilago can be treated with autologous thrombocyte rich plasma (PRP) or hyaluronic acid.

Cartilago is cut into proper size to fit the defect

Cartilago is applied to the defective area by suturing, fibrin glue or micro screws.
